WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (37-2, 30KOs) continues to train hard for his upcoming defense against pound-for-pound five division beltholder Floyd Mayweather Jr. (42-0, 26KOs). Cotto is training in Florida with his Cuban coach Pedro Diaz. The entire team hit the sands of Cocoa Beach to work under the warm weather. Mayweather-Cotto takes place on May 5th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. HBO pay-per-view will broadcast the fight. Photos by El Nuevo Dia/Juan A. Alicea. For video coverage, click here .

Gets the opportunity of a life time....at the wrong time in his career.

The money is good though....his family will eat good.

Floyd wont beat him up to the point his kids are crying at least.

They are training at full capacity for this one. Normally it's Floyd who releases a bunch of training camp pics to intimidate his opponent but not this time. Cotto is training in beast mode, I wouldn't be surprised if Mayweather is looking at these pictures and binge drinking Mountain Dew for his impending downward spiral. War Cotto.

Se pelea en el ring, no en papel ni en los casinos!!

Cotto has never ducked ANYONE, even after defeat. Mayweather has always fought B level fighters unless an A level opponent was over the hill. Having said that.... I'm rooting for the REAL best in boxing VS the I'M the best in boxing. Vamos Pedro y Miguel Angel Cotto!!!!

Team Gatti prolly thought the same thing....It was him who ended up crying in the end tho... Floyd batters this kid until the ref stops it.

He is turning into Rocky. Only photo missing is him splashing around in the water with Antonio Margarito, former enemy turned best friend that is helping train him for this fight.
