    According to Marquez?

    And that's credible?

A number that he literally pulled out of his ass.

Marquez didn't put weight on properly for Mayweather and even then, Mayweather walked into the ring weighing as much as a middleweight. Marquez had to move up like 2 or 3 weight classes and fight a man that didn't even try to make weight on top of that.

        so no. .

Marquez was more prepared for Pacquiao, and they are about the same size.

Look at things this way, if Martinez boxed circles around either Mayweather or Pacquiao would you say Martinez won the fight because of his ability or his size.

It'd be foolish to make the claim that Mayweather's size didn't have an impact in the fight, it gave him the tools to box Marquez at a distance, it mean that Marquez had to come forward and it restricted his counter punching due to the disparity in range, on top of that you can also make the claim that by having insufficient power he couldn't gain Mayweather's respect which allowed the later to take more risks.

That being said Mayweather did thoroughly outbox Marquez which is a testament to his skills. We have seen skillful fighters move up in weight to beat guys bigger than them and we have seen Marquez move up in weight and make the so called pound for pound number 1 look like a fool in the ring.

I'm undecided on how to look at Mayweather's win over Marquez prima facie I'd say it is not that impressive but when looking at how he did it warrants some appreciation.

All things said it is no where near his best win.

When had Floyd ever weighed more than 152 on fight night?

Personally, I feel Carlos Baldomir is Floyd's best win.
