Comments Thread For: Fedchenko Bans Mexican Press, Sparring Mates From Gym

Junior welterweight Sergey Fedchenko (30-1, 13KOs) of Ukraine has a secret strategy in mind. The boxer shocked the local press when he snuck away with his team to an undisclosed gym to train in private. Team Fedchenko will not allow any Mexican press, fans or even Mexican sparring partners to witness their training sessions.

Well it does make sense what he's trying to do. Marquez has an entire country on his back, who want to see him rebound after losing to Pac. They would probably take notes of Fredchenko's style, his flaws, and such and report them to JMM's camp so they could take advantage of that. Sorry no handicaps for you Marquez, just fight a real war and I'm sure you can beat Fredchenko.

There is always tapes and Marquez's team already saw tapes of fedchenko. Handicaps is that like making a 38 year old lightweight champ come up 2 divisions to fight you and have him leave his promoter so your promoter can make the whole event?

They said the Russian embassy secured a new gym location. They had nothing to do with his stay arraignments. More than likely it was someone affiliated with the Russian Embassy in Mexico City.
