    so? again with little amateur experience and essentially off TV what should it matter?

    IMO no matter how many fights he has as long as when he does get put in front of us READY for primetime when that time comes then why should it matter

    let me ask you this

    would you have liked to have seen Chavez take on a Antonio Margarito in Juniors 19th fight? he would have been destroyed and we would have been all over Top Rank for it

    also remember when Gesta was calling out everyone and the consensus was that he was too green for guys like Rios or Vazquez?

    different sport different paths to success

      Well in this case, its almost a sense of false advertisement. Someone who doesnt know any better or doesnt follow boxing might look at this record of 45-0 and say to themselves...."Wow, this must be one of the best fighters of ALL TIME" When in reality, his most challenging fight was against a C+ level opponent.

        again I wouldn't say that's true at all considering his name alone brings attention yet TR managed to keep him off our air waves until they felt he was ready

            it happened in basketball very often till the the nba instituted the age limit.

                In the NBA and NFL, where do you think the pro players come from? LOL. Yes...they come from High School and College.
                Yeah but he was referring to baseball, where drafted players go through the club's farm system first. Unless they're good enough right off the bat which is extremely rare in baseball.

                  I would. The reason MMA is great is because there is no pusseyfooting around with bums for 30 or so fights until you step up to the big leagues. And MMA fighters are (GASP) allowed to lose without being called Overrated or "exposed"

                    But the problem in boxing is that you're much more likely to get seriously hurt. Getting choked out by a top MMA name is only really going to hurt your pride. Getting battered by a top boxer over 12 rounds is dangerous.

                      Yeah but the same goes for a top level boxer beating up on stiffs for 30 fights. The stiff's health matters too but boxing welcomes it with open arms.
