I think Garcia will improve Maidana's lack of defense.

Garcia has done an excellent job improving Rios and Margarito's complete lack of defense. I expect he will do the same w/ Maidana.

I agree. Garcia's ability to have his fighters fighting completely the same way and never improving is unparalleled in the sport.

I've never seen a young, promising fighter like Brandon Rios have absolutely no improvement whatsoever in his defense. Like at all. I think you have to credit Garcia for that.

And the way Garcia has made Margarito even more hittable is truly extraordinary. I didn't think Margarito could be any more hittable-- that is, until Garcia worked on him.

In this respect, Garcia is definitely better than Nacho or Roach.

Garcia is a good new generation trainer but no way in hell will he ever be better than Nacho. Nacho has had over 20 long time reigning champions, and even before that he led Mexico's amatuer boxing team that went on to win a load of gold medals in the 1960's and 70's.

I agree I wouldn't put him on top of Nacho but he is becoming the best trainer of today. He is getting a lot of attention, being sent top fighters and developing fighters from scratch in Oxnard.

I don't care who the trainer is, MM is a 1 dimewnsional boxer & no trainer will change him but 4 more than a few rounds, ..he'll always revert back...

Maidana didn't have a lackluster performance. He just fought a cheating, hugging, non-talent. Maidana is 1 dimensional but he has multiple world class attributes like power, chin, and heart. Alexander is a ridiculous non-talent with *ZERO* world class attributes.
