  • Hatton, DLH, Mosley and Ortiz fell for Floyd's trash talk bate.... Cotto didn't.

    I just watched face-off.

DLH, Mosley and Ortiz were never trash talkers. All of a sudden when they fight Mayweather, they're talking trash.

Hatton was more of a comedian making fun of himself. I never really viewed Hatton as the insulting type. But he also fell into the bait of trash talking with Mayweather.

Last night, when Floyd stopped the interview to check the games, which was rude, Cotto could've tried something to be rude also. But he did the most important thing. He was himself and didn't fall into the "Let's see who can be more rude" game.

I commend Cotto and now I am really intrigued to what will happen May 5th. They say boxing is 80% mental and 20% physical. It looks like Cotto passed his first few tests. We'll see.

Cotto's never been about the theatrics or bull**** more than going in and fighting his ass off. If he loses, it'll be because Floyd was just a better fighter. I don't think Floyd's mind games will bother Cotto at all. He's known Floyd for a long time and knows how he is. Floyd didn't try going directly at Cotto more than just being rude and trying to be subliminal w/ the mind games but Cotto sees right through it. Floyd (which I'm sure he is) should just focus on his training and preparation for the fight.

I thought floyd was rude as well. But I don't think he was trying to get a reaction as much as he was trying to turn down the ignorance. It felt a little scripted, like Cotto knew what floyd was gonna do.

I thought the face off was really boring, but I got a laugh when floyd peeped Miguel's Cartier watch.

Cotto was mirin' Floyd. Almost blushing everytime Floyd complimented him.

It's because Floyd instigated it more so with Hatton and DLH, not so much with Ortiz. He was much more calm with Ortiz for some reason apart from the weigh in.

I think it might just be Floyd getting older and not really getting into that as much to be honest. Also, he doesn't see Cotto as much of a threat.

Its because cotto doesnt trash talk back, never has

Mosley did trash talk either, just smile and say some things about KOing Floyd which every fighter says

Theres no reason to trash talk Cotto, it would be like talking to a wall

Seemed more like Floyd wanted to feel the smoothness of Cotto's skin. He could've just said "Nice Watch Miguel". He had to touch his hand ever so gently.

That's true, I think Floyd went at Hatton because Hatton called him out after the Castillo fight.

Ortiz and Mosley got in Floyd's face when the tour kicked off. I think that also struck a nerve on Floyd.

Cotto has done none of the above.
