With Jr. fighting Lee, should Sergio fight Vanes?

Sergio is at the age where he could get old out of the blue...he should probably take a fight if just to remain active...He could just 'get old' tomorrow...

I wouldnt mind Vanes...I'd look at it as just a tune up or an activity fight. GG would be high risk but at his age all could be but it doesn't matter who he fights if his payday is in Sept...

If they do fight tho and I don't see it happening but if Vanes wins it he wins it...its boxing...

Canelo win over Rhodes is better than anything Vanes has done though.

Canelo didn't need to rob a shot to pieces fighter like Ouma to get a W.

Canelo didn't need to go life and death against like a Saul Roman.

Vanes should fight a Canelo, that would be a step up. To get a shot at a Martinez.

I would put the Gomez and Ouma fight in the same boat. Ouma was shot yes, but Gomez was no silver platter either.

If by some miracle he has an interim fight, it'll probably be against a bum in Argentina. I doubt he'll want to risk injuring himself before the Chavez fight.

A more interesting question is what type of undercard Top Rank and Dibella can put together using their fighters.

At least with Vanes, you have suspense. Sure Sergio will be the favorite, but we've been waiting on Vanes to step up for awhile now.

I'm not saying Vanes vs Sergio is my first choice, but if it came on the TV, I wouldn't be upset with it like I am the handling of Rios' career.

If you want to gripe at opponents, Rios is the one to do it against. Not Vanes vs Sergio.

No, I have no problem with Sergio fighting him if Serg were to move to 154 and fight him there. I think that pound for pound that Barker and Macklin would beat Vanes. They both have solid skillsets and based on what I've seen of Vanes, I'd put my money on them.

Sure I'd watch a Sergio-Vanes fight if it happened.....I'm definitely not saying that...just commenting on Vanes being a step up from Sergio's recent comp.

I really want to see Sergio crush Chavez jr but I think they will try anything and everything to avoid it though.
