Btw, in what world would a demand for ost or no fight suddenly becomes, as you called it, an 'offer'?
Big DUMM can't help himself, He's obviously on Boy's Payroll....

Manny wanted 50/50, no? What Manny meant was if we can't get 50/50 then He would be willing to take less just to get the fight on.

            but

Floyd said, "I want all the PPV money"

What Floyd wants is not something close to 50/50 ..... if Floyd would have said 51/49 .... then Manny might have said OK I want the fight so I'm willing to take 2% less .....

Manny didn't mean that he was going to accept any crappy deal to get the fight on. Not saying you are but that is what die hard Floyd fans have us wanting to believe ... meaning, Manny said he would accept a crappy deal.

            • Notice that last week:

Floyd fans were saying "Holmes don't know Sh$t" .... and now
Floyd fans are saying "SRL don't know Sh$t"

Who is next on the hit list?

              • [QUOTE=BIGPOPPAPUMP;11965121]Boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard appeared on BBC Radio 5 live, and discussed the damage being done because welterweight champions Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao, the two biggest stars in the sport, are unable to reach an agreement for the biggest fight in boxing. The two sides have been unable to reach an agreement for several years.

Sugar Ray speaks the truth tho. He may be retired but he's speaking on how boxers used to fight eachother back in his era. Boxing was much different then. Everything now is $$. The fight shouldve happened years ago. There would be no debate if Manny had taken the offer the first time. But thanks to the media, his head & ego got in the way. Now he thinks he's got more fan base than Mayweather. Now he thinks he deserved a 50/50 split but months before he said he would be willing to take a pay cut just to fight Mayweather. But once Mayweather got his jail sentence date set back, now Bob Arum made new excuses that he wanted to build a outdoor arena and the fight needed time to promote.. Thats nonsense.. This fight speaks for itself. No more promoting needed!

Manny told Floyd personally on the phone and said it officially on his website it had to be 50-50 in the only statements regarding negotiations and purse split directed at Mayweather and his team.

What Pacquiao said before in some obscure interview to a reporter in the Phillipines was irrelevant, especially when other issues came up with the date and venue. Pacquiao was already letting Floyd have the drug testing he wanted, to expect him to bend to the date Floyd booked and venue, and also take that paltry offer from Floyd is fanciful.

All it is an excuse for Floyd to keep ducking the fight.

Pacquiao saying he'd be willing to take less you'd think it would be something reasonable like 51-49 or 52-48 with 50% of the PPV and other revenue the fight will generate. Floyd offering Pacquiao 40 million flat and no share of the PPV and other money is equivalent to a 70-30 split or worse with the money the fight will make and what Floyd will make.

It is indefensible with Pacquiao having had the highest selling and grossing fight in 3 of the past 4 years, setting various all-time PPV records, and being just as big a draw as Floyd. You can only laugh at Mayweather's fans trying to justify it. If Floyd doesn't back down it will go down as the biggest and most shameless duck of all-time, certainly that is what I'll be telling my kids and grandchildren.

                  • Sugar Ray... you mean when you waited Hagler to slow down. Yeah, that does damage the sports at all.

                    • The only one hurting his legacy is Mayweather. The entire world knows he's the one ducking and it doesn't help his case at all after his recent interviews basically saying he's too scared to fight Pacquiao. I guess you gotta "self preserve" when you have a "0" to maintain.
