What does having dirt on him have to do with a purely contractual issue? Most probably, Gamboa is just getting very bad advice. Say what you will about Top Rank but the lawyers they pay probably make sure the agreements are air tight.

Yunier Dorticos is atleast one of them that has gone public about not fighting until those issues are resolved.

Gamboa's camp has come out on several occasions now clarifying that none of the issues stemmed from the actual fight with Rios, but the promotional contract.

Yet dudes took it and ran with it, and are still pushing this "he's ducking Rios" issue.
