That version of Spinks had better defense than Martinez. Ouma is just a tough motherf***a, he took Golovkin's punches for 10 rds.Comment

The version of Spinks did not have better defense than Martinez. And, he was smaller and in a weight-class he had no business in.
Is not like that was Spinks at his best. No way should that version of Spinks have given Taylor that kind of trouble. If Spinks was able to do that. I'm pretty sure Martinez could have better success.Comment

Hmmm a lot of people have better defense than Martinez, both Barker and Macklin landed about 40% of their power punches on Martinez. Williams landed more punches on him than he did on Lara and landed at a higher %.The version of Spinks did not have better defense than Martinez. And, he was smaller and in a weight-class he had no business in.

Spinks was a very slick fighter, harder to hit than Martinez.Comment

even a prime JT was never "elite".....I don't agree with that. We've never seen Martinez in the ring with an elite quick boxer like prime JT, the blend of speed, skills and power would be too much for Sergio. Remember both Pavlik and Froch tasted the canvas when they faced JT and they're bigger and probably have a better chin than Martinez.Comment

That version of spinks was over the hill and wasn't even a MW. I mean the WW Judah KO'ed him and the MW champ of the world just chased him around the ring all night. The version of Spinks did not have better defense than Martinez. And, he was smaller and in a weight-class he had no business in.
