He couldn't drop smaller guys like Ouma nor Spinks. And, I won't say that Spinks has a better chin than Martinez either. So not sure how relevant your point is.

That version of Spinks had better defense than Martinez. Ouma is just a tough motherf***a, he took Golovkin's punches for 10 rds.

The version of Spinks did not have better defense than Martinez. And, he was smaller and in a weight-class he had no business in.

Is not like that was Spinks at his best. No way should that version of Spinks have given Taylor that kind of trouble. If Spinks was able to do that. I'm pretty sure Martinez could have better success.

Hmmm a lot of people have better defense than Martinez, both Barker and Macklin landed about 40% of their power punches on Martinez. Williams landed more punches on him than he did on Lara and landed at a higher %.

Spinks was a very slick fighter, harder to hit than Martinez.

even a prime JT was never "elite".....I don't agree with that.

That version of spinks was over the hill and wasn't even a MW. I mean the WW Judah KO'ed him and the MW champ of the world just chased him around the ring all night.
