I dont think it makes me a hypocrite if I watch boxing. As I said, I dont "enjoy" watching pple hurt one another. The reason why I watch it is probably cause its awesome to see somebody come back from the floor to win a fight. If boxing didnt exist, I would be as happy as I am now.

So you think it's awesome to see somebody get hurt, recover and win the fight, so in the end you still enjoy watching guys inflict damage on each other. You can't be a boxing fan and criticize the violence, your position is hypocritical no matter how you twist it.

Beating the odds in hopkins's situation refers to statistics saying a troubled youth with his background saying he'll either be dead or a career criminal. Nothing to do with violence.

Hopkins hasn't tried to kill anybody in the ring in well over 12 years. Now he just embarasses them. (And himself, depending on the occasion.)

isnt a pro boxer in reality (legally) a "career criminal"? its legalized violence, but still its a man trying to destroy another man.

I'd define success as taking what God gave you and making the most out of it, so I'd say yes. But also by my standards Pablo Escobar was a success, and he truly was. Not saying I condone selling blow but he was successful. I think it's more of a question of what does success mean to you? If it means being someone who benefits society than isn't stranger who smiles at you and makes you smile back successful?

Men fight in the ring to make a living. It's two men who are pitted together to test skill, heart and strength. There has only been one guy that I fought out of nearly 70 total bouts that I have a problem with. Most of the guys that I fought became my friends after the bout whether they won or I did. I have alot of past opponents as friends on facebook, either they looked me up or I looked them up. Your view of boxing is simply obtuse..........Rockin'
