Interesting about Marquez' quail eggs. I wonder does he take the shells off......are they hard boiled first?? And lets not forget his special super-duper drink.....

I actually thought of this when I was reading it. If he wants to do one more farewell fight to go out on a win against a decent opponent but one that suits his style, it would be awesome if nacho trained him for it.

Everyone knows JMM would batter Morales at this point so I dont want to see it now. Morales still has the skill there and his timing is ok but his conditioning sucks and he hasnt had any power since 130. One last fight with a respectable but beatable opponent.

I was happy to hear morales talking retirement and saying his body is letting him down, atleast he is talking sense. I was worried he would be another holyfield when he started his comeback

The Texan commission is one of the worst I've seen as of late. They will absoloutely sellout to the highest bidder. If you guys remember correctly, the same thing happened when Rocky Juarez fought Jorge Barrios. Barrios was well ahead on that fight but suspected he was gonna get robbed by the judges. This made him open up more to try to get the knockout but ended up getting caught and knockdown (and eventually cut). After the fight was stopped because of the cut, the judges somehow had Juarez ahead. It was absolutely unbelievable!!
Yeah this is what bugged me the most about the fight...which is why im not against the idea of Morales fighting again, but the man needs to dedicate himself...he's fighting amazingly well off skill alone....imagine if he had given it one more shot but in proper shape.....if hes not gonna work on his conditioning though, he should just retire...love the guy too much to be worried sick everytime he fights.

it's time for Terrible to go
he didn't care about making weight for a good reason
he has nothing left to prove at this point
everyone counted him out when he fought Maidana and he came through
that propelled him to his chance for another title
he got it, and now he can call it a career, retire for good
seeing him lose to Garcia ******, he should hang the gloves up
nobody serious he can beat at this point

morales will always be one of my favorite fighters but sad to say he's over...no amount of conditioning will revive the old erik morales...his time to say goodbye has come...

Erik can still fight IF he wants to IMO, What I saw against Garcia was a fighter who was not prepared to fight he was in horrible shape. So IF he wants to fight he must come prepared otherwise just retire....

Yeah he cracks the little shells and drinks a cup with about 25 raw eggs in it with orange juice every morning

I agree with Nacho. It was obvious Morales was much better than Garcia, but when he started to gas out, he couldn't throw punches.

If he would've been more diligent about his conditioning, he would've won that fight.

Maybe he should get in better shape or just hang them up.
