Floyd is fighting the guy Manny wanted to fight and just ducked blatantly , do you realize how dumb ass that makes your post , you cannot knock Floyd and praise Manny with any sense of whats right , only with hate , and hate is the biggest liar in the universe .

Now technically Serg isnt a volume puncher. Hes basically a jab straight left fighter. No imagination at all offensively, although he can punch. No body punching no hooks or uppercuts. Hes got good movement but he can still be hit. He was never dominate in his previous campaign at 154, which was only 3 yrs ago. Hes gained all of his recognition beating up on MWs, where his movement gives him a signifigant advantage.
He switches it up when he needs to. He was throwing all kinds of hooks and uppercuts in the first Williams fight. He beat Dzinziruk with the jab primarily...he is just so good he usually only needs a 1-2 to put guys to sleep...and he fights with his hands down the entire time.

Of course it's not.. he is 38 years old and floyd noticed he looked his age lmao. Of course now it's a possibility. Cherry picking fraud.

You're an idiot if you think Sergio Martinez looked his age in his last fight. Yeah, sure, a 38-year old who regularly knocks out guys 10+ years younger than him looks his age.

Its hard to say if it will happen or not. Floyd is moving up to fight Cotto. That could be a sign, but he moved up against Oscar and went back down to WW after that fight. I could see Floyd refusing to fight Martinez because he doesn't have a big enough fan base. Who knows.

at Middleweight would be better as compared to a catchweight which makes it kinda meaningless

if no Sergio fight, Mayweather will probably use that reason. As Sergio did fight @ Madison Sq Garden his last fight .. but in the small arena that seats 5,00-ish oppose to the main MSG arena that seats 20,000 or so

proving Sergio isn't a big draw.

Martinez can keep dreaming. Mayweather doesn't want to challenge himself or he wouldn't be fighting Cotto. Mayweather is just looking for easy pay days knocking off the biggest and easiest cash cows.

with that said he'll fight Canelo next. a much safer fight with a bigger pay day than Martinez.

Chavez is a coward and one of the most protected fighters we've seen in a long time, no way uncle Bob is cashing him out on Sergio Martinez. the 1st real oppoenet he'll face is Kelly Pavlik next year when he moves up to 168.

honestly I think Martinez will probably end up facing Geale. I think Pirog will have an injury or slip on some ice or whatever and pull out of his fight with Geale in August.

I think Martinez KO Geale and we're back to where we are now. he'll still be chasing Mayweather and Chavez and he'll still be getting no where.

Martinez's has to be nearly shot before any of those guys are coming anywhere near him. think Sugar Ray with Marvin Hagler. Martinez needs a Mugabi type war 1st, then the phones will be ringing

I think the floyd/martinez fight could happen for one reason. Floyd would get the massive, lion's share of the revenue.

And honestly, floyd vs anyone would sell, but against canelo, you could argue that canelo is bringing in the fans and therefore should get the %%.

Against Martinez, the $$ would be secured for floyd for a massive percentage. The gate/ppv would be atg as martinez is easily marketed as a threat (4 straight KOs of larger men).

It really makes sense for Floyd to take this fight.
