And honestly, floyd vs anyone would sell, but against canelo, you could argue that canelo is bringing in the fans and therefore should get the %%.

Against Martinez, the $$ would be secured for floyd for a massive percentage. The gate/ppv would be atg as martinez is easily marketed as a threat (4 straight KOs of larger men).

It really makes sense for Floyd to take this fight.
Good point. Plus, a handful of folks who pay to see Mayweather fight usually want to see him lose. If done right, Mayweather-Martinez could really make a lot of money for Mayweather.

Dont you think Serg would be fighting @ 154 if he could? Theres better fights @ 154. Sergs best offer @ 160 was to fight in Russia. Why campaign there if you could move down? Serg would make the cut a fight with Floyd but those 3 and a half pounds are gonna hurt. I dont think he can make the cut anymore.

You misspelled Arum. "How come Cotto gets a percentage of the PPV and *ARUM* cannot?"

Either way, Floyd never said no to ppv, he said first they need to agree on the guarantee, then they'll see about the PPV. Why move on when you can't even get past initial negotiations? It's like spending your lottery ticket winnings before winning the lottery.

Anyway, I see Martinez - Floyd as a bigger possibility than Pac-Floyd. No Arum to interfere and try to stick his hand in each facet of the bout. How's that stadium running along anyway?

I doubt this fight ever happens, Canelo would have to lose, Khan would have to lose for Martinez to be the only viable option because I don't see Mayweather fighting Martinez when canelo is available or if khan is available at 147.

God I hope not. Floyd and martinez will be damned near 40 by the time it gets signed.

Well, Floyd has shown more interest in a Martinez fight than Canelo...and Khan DID lose. :|... Beating Kahn does nothing for Floyd. Canelo? Maybe..depends on how Canelo develops as a fighter over the next few years..by beating him now means nothing aside from a pay day, possibly not even all that much more than he'd make against Martinez. Floyd, for better or for worse, has a huge Mexican following. Martinez seems to be getting more and more popular as well...and is known by almost any Mexican who knows who JCC Jr is. Martinez gets a lot of love from the Mexican community.

Floyd is the attraction, people want to see him in with somebody good because half, maybe more of the people watching Floyd watch him to lose. Martinez is basically what everybody wants in a fighter to beat Floyd. Nice dude, can finish, is slick, fast, good looking, and a champ outside the ring. I can even see some story lines mentioning Martinez with his charity work with battered women...and well..Floyd's..problems lol. That fight will sell itself. The majority of people who really don't like Floyd, know the names of a few people they think can beat Floyd. Most people who hate on him tend to think it's either Pac or Martinez that have the best chance.

Floyd is going to get paid fighting anyone. Floyd would get paid massive amounts fighting me..and I'm lucky to even be known by my neighbors.
