Actually Dirrell has known Floyd since he was a kid. Dirrell is also from Michigan so you could say that Floyd is probably a mentor to Dirrell.

I think people are expecting a little too much from Floyd at this late stage in his career. To say that Floyd would put a Gatti type performance on May 5th is just absurd.

I have got Floyd winning comfortably but for some strange reason Cotto is being severely underrated.

WarMayweather!!
I'm sorry man, but Ortiz is the same guy who quit on Maidana, who got double KD by Berto and worse he's just a sparring partner to Pacquiao. Nothing impressive really....

Dirrell looks like he's taken a few to many blows to the head, if he's gonna compare Cotto with Gatti. How many years had Gatti been fighting before he met Floyd, what something 15 years? Theses two guys are totally different and it's just gonna make all dat much sweeter when Cotto gets the W..

            WAR COTTO PUNETA!!

lol. no. he'll beat cotto but no. gatti ( bless his soul) wasn't the fighter then, that even today, cotto is now. and floyd's not the fighter he was then now either. back then, he was god in boxing gloves. he's slowed a step at this point.

Andre Dirrell is a bum! He weaseled his way out of fighting Andre Ward. Then weaseled his way out of the Super Six Tournament! He deserves no media attention or promotion whatsoever! Before he was fouled, he was running away from Arthur Abraham like a little b1tch.

Jermaine Taylor's comeback deserves more commendation over Andre Dirrell!!

are you ******ed? I watched his 30 minute sparring session with Omar Henry and he never threw more than a 3 punch combo. LOL. people like you make me laugh so hard reading the comments, I love it. where is the evidence of this new power Floyd has lol, the sucker punch on Ortiz, haha? because what he was throwing prior to that wasn't hurting Ortiz (he never buckled once), he was just frustrated he couldn't connect on Floyd.

you are probably just trolling anyways, because I don't see how anyone could make such delusional comments as you on this thread, without either being ******ed or a troll

floyd may not be in his prime like he was against gatti, but the guy is alot smarter and alot more efficent cotto gets hit alot and thats not good, people say floyd doesnt have power but i wouldnt want to take too many of those right hands to the face or uppercuts in the clinch to the body

U didnt watch it at all...Floyd impuslively threw fast singles, in between the combinations...8 punches, 9 punches...You need to watch it again...U guys HATE the fact that Floyd is stepping up....he is fighting like he did against Marquez, but more impulsive punches...He countered combinations, with combinations in between each punch...U gotta deal with the fact that Floyd is now a beast! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YE8OlcBDIr4 Floyd was on a ROLLL
