Who hits harder - Floyd Mayweather Jr or Antonio Margarito?! (Poll)

It seems like it should, but if you look at heavyweights, Ali and Patterson were very fast, but didn't hit hard. Foreman and Shavers were a bit slower, but hit a lot harder. Canelo is not very fast, but has good power. I guess it just depends on the fighter.Comment

Margarito's power is very overrated. He use to throw a lot of punches and overwhelm his opponents, he doesn't have that one punch KO power, or even KO power. If he doesn't throw 1,000 punches he's not going to knock you out. While Floyd on the other hand can knock you out with 500-600 punches.
Not saying Floyd is more powerful, Floyd's power is accurately rated. It's not overrated or underrated. Floyd is just a boxer who throws 400-500 punches and rarely goes for the KO.Comment

Floyd does.
You need 20 of margarito's sloppy ass slow ass punches to equal 5 of Floyd's perfectly placed perfectly timed power shots.
thats why he needs to throw 1000 punches per fight and floyd only throws a couple hundred, yet floyd has the higher KO Percentage.
Margarito has a 57% ko Percentage
and Floyd has a 61% Ko percentage with 1/5 of the punches thrown.

I may be wrong because you can never know, but from what I have seen, Floyd hits people on the button a lot and his straight right he puts a lot into it, but it isn't that damaging.
And np, maybe I didn't word it good.
For example when a big guy hits you with technique, or even just holding huge pads, I get moved. A small guy may be fast and I still feel the power, but I don't get moved as much. I am 195 lbs myself so it's not that easy to move me I guess.Comment
