Margarito = Volume and was caught with hardened gauze. Since then he hasn't been nearly as effective.

Mayweather I'd say punch for punch has a harder shot; it's the speed.

By speed alone one would think Floyd by a mile but when Margarito hits you his punches appear to be hurting the opponent more.

At 147, Floyd I believe has 2 legit KO's but even then those guys were career 140lb fighters.

Margarito on the other hand has knocked out plenty at 147.

but one can't make a complete judgement on KO's alone because Floyd is defensive minded while Margarito takes 2 to give 3 punches.

Pac said Margarito hurt him. Never really heard anyone say Floyds punches hurt too much.
I doubt if Pac fought Floyd, how hard Floyd hit would be the first thing that came to pacs mind.

I wonder if Cotto's face will be as mashed up as it was vs Margarito or even Pacquiao after he fights Floyd?

My guess is that Cotto will not be crying tears of blood or even have to spend the night in hospital.

I think Cotto won't look as bad as he did after the Clottey fight even after 12 rounds with Floyd.

And lets face it neither Floyd or Margarito are huge punchers.
