Macklin must be conspiring with Martinez because Sergio didn't take over until Macklin got tired.

What people should try to understand is, win or lose, tactical weaknesses can be exposed. Naazim and Shane Mosley re-exposed Pacquiao's weakness to constant clockwise movement in a blowout loss; JMM capitalized on it (again) in the next fight. Boxing is subtle.

I haven't analyzed Martinez-Macklin, but Roach could've seen a tactic that Jr. can use in a potential fight. It might not be enough to cover up JCC's terrible defense for 12 rounds though.

This is have boxing goes, the great fighters that are not a HBO or showtime cash cow have to the fight very dangerous but less known boxers.
The cashcows haveever has the priveledge of having HBO and showtime handpick well known hasbeens that makes there cashcow look good so the can generate more hype and money.

That is what seperates the old greats like ali and sugar ray from todays boxers.
Back in the day it was all hard core match making.
The best fights the best period

Roach did say he is a good boxer and a great athlete with a fast left hand.

Tbh Roach hasn't said anything different to what most felt. Most felt Macklin won early rounds, but pre fight who fought it would be close?

Once again boxing has effected Roach

Listen to him not make any since whatsoever! How can he predict what fight will be bigger, or is it what he prefers first. Freddie is a piece of work. All this credit he gets for taken good fighters who were develope elsewhere and being with them once they become famous.

If that's the case Freddie; it's simple.

Fight the guy and prove your theory. Put up or shut up.
