I disagree this is the type of fight Arum loves. Clottey has nothing going for him right now. Top Rank has nothing to lose with this fight but can gain in the aspect of Clottey still being a player in the sport.Comment

No Clottey is used as a stepping stone for other Top Rank fighters. Arum only lets him fight guys from other companies if they're really big names like Zab or if they're C level fighters. A guy like Brook would have a good chance at beating Clottey and he's not an attraction in the states, where Top Rank operates. Wouldn't make sense for Arum to let it happen.Comment

Clottey has been inactive for a while and is not hungry any more.
Smart move by the Kell group if they go for himComment

That fight is way too tough for Brook at this moment. I can't see it happening, Clottey is too tough. Clottey's still one of the best WW's even with his poor performance against Pacquiao. Stylistically he's still one of the best. This would be a bad move for Brook.Comment

Clottey is a top fighter a former world champion, and only Pacquiao has convincingly beat him.
Very hard to look good against Clottey, very tight defense, good quick jab, teak tough, iron chin.
On his downside, not much KO power, tires in the later rounds or switches off, bit of an ABC fighter does nothing out of the ordinary.
In 2009 Mosley under the advice of ****m Richardson, pulled out of a fight with Clottey because is was considered a too big of a risk for little reward and Mosley could not look good against Clottey.
This fight should tell us a lot about Brook in which is a tough fight for Kell.
A good performance against Clottey and the skies the limit for Brook, and he should get a world title shot, but who will take him on?Comment
