I was deeply saddened on Sunday afternoon when I found out that world renowned boxing historian and friend Bert Sugar had passed at age 75.

This is a great shame, when he had something to say you would listen.

Very true. These are the types of figures we need running boxing instead of the Arums & Suliamens! RIP Bert!

        Bert Sugar=ATG & G.O.A.T boxing writer/historian.

True to the game, said it like it is and was no fanboy like these other so called writers.

I wonder whether this article is about Bert Sugar or Manny Pacquiao?

Like I posted in the other thread on the regrettable death of Bert Sugar, Q.E.P.D. Bert Sugar.. One hell of a boxing historian, now he's history himself..I guess them cigars finally did their job on him..What a shame..But Sugar lived the way he wanted to & enjoyed it & that's all that matters..

(By the way, for those wondering Q.E.P.D. is R.I.P in Spanish)

It's unfortunate that he could not one day give his views on the fight between Pacman vs FMJ.

His passing is a huge loss to boxing.
