You know... This is probably overblown. I really can't decide- Floyd doesn't have much of a filter and sometimes I think he just makes it too easy to pull these kinds of quotes..

After a 2nd read it doesn't seem as bad to me. But initially- this really is kind of a weird statement on his part.

These are the fighters Floyd should start with at junior middleweight:

1. Sergio Martinez
Who wouldn't want to see Sergio and Floyd at junior middleweight? Nobody is safe going into a fight with Sergio so it might be the best selling fight in the last 5 years.

2. Erislandy Lara
This fight is also a fight worth watching, with two technical fighters and Erislandy is a difficult opponent for everyone so many boxing fans would love to see this fight happening.

Great call with Lara, but alas Floyd won't fight him too.

Get ready for the excuse, who is Lara? He is not a PPV attraction and Paul Williams beat him.

People are funny. Floyd says that he isn't looking to fight 6 strong champions, meaning that all of his last fights won't be against title holders. We have no idea who he wants to fight after Cotto. We just know that he is open to Manny, Martinez, and will likely give Canelo a fight as well. Other than them, who is there for him to really fight? Amir Khan? By the time he hits 35-36 he might change his mind and hang up the gloves do to father time. At least he is still looking to fight some more. We will see how it turns out over time.

I mean, that's a staggering statement - the admission he's not looking for all his fights to be against strong champions.
