The bottom line is that Kirkland is a billable fighter for HBO and a money maker..Molina was not. Molina was dominating the fight (who cares about the holding when other fighters do it all day long and no one says a peep) this was their opportunity to have Kirkland win the fight because if those schit scores were announced publicly, they know they would have to deal with another investigation...they didn't want that so they DQ'd him.

Sure he was incompetent but the fact that he didn't deduct a point for holding means nothing to me. I've seen plenty of Hopkins fights, Ward fights, Mayweather fights, and the latest Alexander-Maidana fight which were all filled with a guy who's offensive attack was to punch and grab and hold until the ref pushes you apart. Then I don't hear so many people complaining about some of those guys clinching all the time but rather it's called mastering the inside game or some other load of BS.

My point was that the ref is a loser and someone in the crowd told him what to do and he acted accordingly, notice how the ref was conveniently unavailable for comment when HBO approached him? You think that was by a coincidence? LMAO....come on man, it's so obvious what happened in there.

First, Kirkland doesn't submit to the piss test, secondly he re-hydrates up 20 pounds (diuretics anyone?), was getting beaten badly in the fight, then he wins on some bs DQ. Do you also think it is bs when you get a ticket for going 2 miles per hour over the speed limit? Rules are meant to be enforced and although the result of the dq sucks, it certainly isn't bs. Rules are pretty cut and dry, especially in this circumstance so really you should be pi$$ed at Molinas corner and not the ref and especially not Kirkland. A lot of you wear your hearts on your sleeve.

The ref should have issued the dq as soon as the corner man came into the ring. It wasn't like he stepped into the ring in the middle of the round. The round was over but the count was still going. It was a bad call, one made to save fragile Jamie Kirkland. What a ****ing joke. I hope Marquez was watching that fight last night, and doesn't fight at the cowboys stadium. **** the texas commission, no big event should be held there, I hope a title fight is never held again in texas.

i was at the fight. molina should have had points taking away for all the holding and head butting so either way it was by far the ugliest fight i have seen in a long time.

I was saying during that fight that Floyd should have been DQ'd because of Roger's behavior.

In the end, its up to the ref's discretion.

This ref felt that the corner should have known better than to enter while the ref was still in the process of counting and doing his job.

Regardless, real fans call it straight. Its no secret that I support Floyd, but I'm loyal to the sport, not any one fighter.

Other so-called fans would do well to think about exactly what that means.
