I've nver said he can beat Mayweather or Martinez or even other top 154 lb guys like Cotto and Lara. But Canelo......guys proven nothing. What's funny is that Kirkland has to go through Angulo, Molina, and Vanes, and win out just to get a shot at Canelo. All Shane had to do what get his a$$ kicked by Floyd and Manny, and look awful against Sergio Mora. He certainly earned his shot homie.

Molina was winning, Kirkland had the wrong plan for 7 of those 10 rounds, hopefully they rematch, the ref f**ked up the stoppage and not warning Molina, Carlos made Ward-Hopkins-Alexander look like they never hold, and Kirkland is still the same fighter he's always been.

For one, there's a huge difference with what Ward and Bhop do, and what Molina did tonight. They WORK inside, they don't just randomly hold and do absolutely nothing to spoil a fight. Ward actualll FIGHTS inside. Hopkins usually jumps inside, jumps out runs combinations and he's gone. Mind you, how Hopkins fought for instance against Calzaghe I didn't agree with. I've personally have NEVER someone clinch like this since John Ruiz maybe.

I called it long ago. GBP was dumb in not being able to secure a Kirkland vs Canelo fight it would have catapulted Canelo to a new stratosphere with all that hyped up cool-aid those so called experts were drinking.
