Makes him richer than what he already is and fans respect that he al
teast fought for and the show went on.

Mayol and tyson Marquez are not big name fighters so they should have their priorities straight.

Now These 2 clowns duck Tyson marquez--- unlike Juan M Marquez who fought Floyd Mayweather over the weight. Sigh.
You are wrong sir. Marquez took the fight against Mayweather when Mayweather didn't make weight and look at what happened! He didn't only lose, but he got completely dominated. Hatton took the fight against Alvarez when Alvarez didn't make weight and Hatton not only lost, but he got completely dominated. Corrales took the rematch against Castillo when Castillo failed to make weight and Corrales not only lost but he got destroyed. The list goes on and on of situations like this... One kilo is a huge deal. If it weren't, then Marquez and Morales would have simply lost the weight!!!

If mayweather had made the weight and Marquez fought him what would have been the result?

If alvarez had made weight and hatton fought him at the contracted weight what would have been the result?

One kilo is a big thing I agree, but think about the outcome of these fights and tell me if they would have been the same outcome or not.

I hate to be so negative but I hope this whole card falls apart. This isn't the first time Marquez fails to make weight. What's worse is that they tried to get sneaky about it and tried to lie about the weight. I know many people will disagree with me and even talk sh.t to me, but I've personally had a fighter (who was my blood) go through the same thing. My fighter worked extremely hard and struggled mightily to make weight. However, the opponent, who is considered to be a very good/stand out amateur fighter, weighed in at 123.3 (.3 over the limit). I argued with the person taking the weights and let him know that the opponent was overweight; however, he shrugged it off and let me know that it went from 123.3 to 123 even. After that I didn't argue anymore. Anyway, to make a long story short, my fighter, who struggled to make weight, got smashed by the fighter who didn't struggle and was quite fresh!

You're probably right. The outcome would have probably been the same for those two fights that you mentioned. But what about Corrales vs Castillo II? What about Rios vs Murray? What if Pavlik would have accepted to fight Miranda when Miranda didn't make weight on the first try? There's a reason why the Pavlik team made Miranda lose the weight!

Like I mentioned in a different post, I personally have had a very similar experience that ended very badly. That's why I hold such a very firm position on this.

I can't believe some of the ****** comments and it just shows lack of brains or common sense. Ok first off we have weight classes and limits for anybody that doesn't know ( i think that's why they have scales ) .Second, this is professional sports, you're paid to make weight, imagine your mayol and you trained months for this fight to try to make wieght, is it fair to you? Marquez should've lost his belt just like morlales.

why not giving a fair chance to your opponent? boxing is a sport of professionals, be a real champion without cheating.... removing 2 lbs from body weight in 2-3 minutes is only possible by removing some of your body tissue.... konc is right.....

The difference is that Marquez officially made weight and the Association approved it. It's Koncz speculation that Marquez didn't really make weight. Now I need to see a video of the weigh in to judge these allegations.
