I love Morales, but this is BS and disrespectful towards the opponent.

Morales has gone fat. He was fat last time and again now. It was plain to see at the weigh-in.

It makes sense. Hope it works, but it won't.

According to Morales, he was trying to avoid a repeat of his past mistakes against Manny Pacquiao, where the Mexican veteran killed himself on the scale to make weight and got knocked out badly in their rematch and their trilogy meeting.

“I believe that it was better to take care of the fight than the championship. I tried [to drop the weight] but I couldn't do it. I was worried that if I [attempted to remove] the weight, it was going to [affect] the fight. Nevertheless, I think we made a good decision, now I can look good and we can recover [from the weigh-in] and win.

Idk why people are surprised at the way Morales looked. He's looked like that since he came back from retirement for all his fights. If anything, should be amazed he was so fat and is able to fight at 140 now.

What a cheater, just like Mayweather did with Juan Manuel Marquez. Since he has enough money he will pay for the extra pounds and get an advantage instead of making the previously agreed contract weight. I hope he gets knocked out.

Erik Morales is a legend and Danny Garcia is privileged to even be mentioned along the same sentence as Morales let alone to be fighting him in a HBO Main Event.

Erik Morales looks like crap. Does he even do any conditioning work?

Morales has been my favorite fighter since 2002, but I'm gonna go ahead and say this anyway; he will get stopped today! It's really simple, it appears he didn't train for this fight. Morales has a lot of fat on him so he definitely has weight to lose (he's got enough fat to lose to make it to 135). To say that his body could no longer shred a gram of weight, as per the WBC, is ridiculous! I said it yesterday in a different post and I'll say it today in this post, I will not be surprised if Morales is back at it with the drugs and alcohol!
