Comments Thread For: Lara: Molina Has Balls, Rooting For Him To Beat Kirkland

In recent article on BoxingScene.com, junior middleweight Carlos Molina (19-4-2, 6KOs) discussed his pursuit of a rematch with Erislandy Lara (15-1-1, 10KOs). Molina and Lara fought to a controversial ten round draw in March of last year. Lara, who faces Ronald Hearns on April 20th, would love to set the record straight. Lara is actually rooting for Molina to defeat the dangerous James Kirkland, and that fight takes place later tonight in Houston, Texas.

Lol I know Lara doesn't really say all of this, it's probably his manager but still it's funny how "he" just ****s on every body constantly. He seems like a bully, like he just goes in the schoolyard and starts slapping every one around and no one has any response.

Lara's right, kirkland's team knows better than anyone and since his return they've picked carefully but this molina fight will set kirkland back, molina has proven with late notice, long layoffs, or top opponents he comes through unscaved.

It should say 15-1*-1 for Lara's record.

Alfredo Angulo was a careful pick??? The guy was one of the most feared fighters in boxing and had beaten everyone down since losing to Cintron in 09'. That was not a "Careful pick", my god.

I'd like to see the winner of Kirkland-Molina fight Lara. But, I don't see Kirkland-Lara happening. Lara's style is all wrong for Kirkland. Lara > Kirkland anyday of the week, and this is coming from a huge James Kirkland fan.

Kirkland basically has to fight Vanes next to get a shot at Canelo.

That fight or a PW (More money) fights happens next.

Vanes-Kirkland won't happen, no way. TR and GBP beef will stop it. It was really a perfect way for the WBC to keep protecting Canelo. Everyone knows TR and GBP don't really work together, so even if Kirkland beats Molina, he'd still have to beat Vanes to get a shot, a TR fighter.

If Canelo has any integrity he'll fight Kirkland in September.

I wish Lara manager would shut the f-ck up. I'm tired of dude talking. We know it ain't Lara doing all that talking.
