I agree that UFC is ran better and the best can't avoid eachnother. As he numbers are concerned boxing might have 2-4 ppv a year. UFC has one every month. That makes it even more impressive.

        Should be "MMA" vs Boxing..

But since the UFC has somewhat of a monopoly in the sport of MMA its understandable.

I think though if there were more competitive Orgs with deep capital and was ran as professionally as the UFC, we'd see alot of the top fighters leaving.
So in a sense we'd still see some of the bull**** & bickering that rival promoters do and probably wouldn't see the great match ups like we do now.

Dana can be such an ego centric guy sometimes I cant see him doing any type of co-promotion ever.

I swore they reported Hatton doing over 1 million for Mayweather in the UK.

And I don't think they released Haye-Wlad's numbers officially but I heard after the fight someone in the know tweeted it did around 1.3 million. The TV market research company BARB also did a study which suggested it got around 1.1 million.

If boxing reporters learned to research what boxing's international PPV numbers look like then not as grim as some might believe. Besides, if Sergio vs Junior goes to PPV it should do some good numbers.

This was about comparing boxing's PPV numbers to the UFC specifically though. The MMA market outside the UFC is pretty irrelevant. No MMA fighter can sell over 100k buys beyond it.

I would hate a ppv every month. I will pay for only 3 Boxing PPV's a year I never can and never will pay for mma/ufc ppv

lol no one ever adds uk ppv to the picture
all the "mayweather pacquiao " whos the bigger draw when in fact hatton was the draw in both fights
900k ppv in the uk is equal to over 4,500,000 ppv buys in the u.s.
                    thats drawing power

they did report it did around a million in the uk but tht report also said it did also 2million in the US which was 1.2million more than it did (i believe it was usatoday who gave those numbers) but it did around 500.000 when they was announced.

the haye/wlad fight came in second in the uk, better than tyson/lewis but not better than mayweather/hatton
