How has Green managed to worm his way into a somewhat big fight?

Last time I seen him in with a decent fighter he was being KO'd...by a 40 year old.

      Yep.

Judah has beaten Spinks to be Undisputed Champ and overcame a KD to win vs Matthysse.

Ortiz overcame two KD's to beat Berto.

What has Green done that he had to overcome?

      He caves mentally every time.

I feel bad for Green, he reads comic books and stuff like a kid, he seems like a normal guy. He comes off as a cool person. But his boxing career is basically in need of a big win. I thought the TKO loss vs Johnson was from an illegal blow and that made me feel even more bad for him. He was losing the fight regardless, but damn, at least let him lose fairly.

Well I just Boxrec'ed him and it seems at least he's on the come back trail and fighting his way back to being a contender. I respect that.

I think he hurt his career badly by ever fighting at SMW.

He's clearly to big to be at 168. Hell he's probably more of a CW.

Drying down to make 168 gave away any strength advantage he should have had.

Not sure if he can physically comeback from the damage he's done to himself.

n't get this as neither is eanked by WBC @ 168 nor 175...What about Ismayl Syllakh??? He'd box rings around Kessler, & I'm certain wimmer of hopkins/Dawson won't fight him, watch...

I simply don't understand this move to 175. Why? Kessler never had any weightproblems and he walked around at 173 during his yearlong eye-injury related absence.

Green struggled with Sebastien Demers. He looked awful. Really. For me, he's only a tune up and a first LHW fight for Kessler. Easy win for the Dane.

well perhaps he's looking for a place where he can either fight or become the big dog

he already fought him at 168. there's no need for kessler and ward to ever fight again

and evidently they said bute low balled him

                      there is the froch fight

but otherwise there are some fights at 175 that he can look at. i think he'd bet tavoris cloud, for example. hopkins is a horrible fight, but he's got money and a name that might interest kessler, and there's dawson.
