      Not sure why you brought up Martinez-Macklin to compare with Martinez-Chavez. They're apples and oranges.

      One guy never tested positive, never got asked to be drug tested, never turned down that drug test. One guy tested positive, got asked to be drug tested, and turned it down.

      well by your logic, martinez-chavez will be a doped fight without ost. does that apply to other fights as well? the reason why i brought up martinez-macklin is just to put up an example of a fight without ost.

        you wanna cry about something more meaningful about 'care' for the sport? why dont you take your whiny ass and crusade for a pension plan for retired boxers

            • not shocking that pacolytes are against better testing even for a fighter thats tested positive for banned substances.

                Thats what happens in a ********ic boxing society.

                People will pick their champ whether he has belts or not, whether he is the goods or not. Its all a popularity contest now. Not necessarily the best way to gamble but its a good way to gauge who brings the most money.

                But this fight should happen. Sergio should just ride it out.

                  For example you just said that if JCC was caught before he would be caught again. How simplistic are you. His last fight against Rubio did NOT have any kind of testing. Because, they "forgot". In Nevada the testing has a 6:1 T/E ratio. While WADA/VADA hell California State Athletic Commission and New York State Athletic commission do 4:1 T/E ration. With a 6:1 T/E ration and Texas forgetting to imply testing. It's pretty much an open door to cheaters.
                  I'm too polite to actually call YOU ******, but you don't know what I'm thinking...... I will explain so that even a quarter-brained imbecile could understand-I don't mean YOU. {I felt I had to make that clear....} I will explain so that even a Dodo could understand.{fewer brains than a quarter-brained imbecile}

                  If Chavez was caught before {which he was} by the standard urine test {which I assume it was} then the next time he fights {if and when he does} and if he dopes {which he might} he will be caught again {if the same urine tests are done-and assuming the fight is not in Texas}

                  An average dumbo should understand that. Even a guy who takes his BoxingScene posts more seriously than god.?? As for the Rubio fight NOBODY was tested that night, and I have seen at least 3 different reasons {for no tests} {being done}. One was that they forgot about it. Another was that nobody had arranged it. a third was that they didn't do after-fight testing there. What I think someone like you, who has serious problems with everything and everyone should do is...... SUE THEM. !! Then you'll be happy ever after. Maybe....after you analyse and compartmentalise the problem(s).

                  And I almost forgot to thank you for your important information and explanations. Wonderful that you were able to ferret it out......

                  • From Gabriel Montoya.

                    Apparently the negotiations have been called off by Arum. They will say it is about money but here is the real story: I was called last week by Top Rank re: my T/E ratio story. Bob claimed he wanted to reference it in a speech he was to give at the Cleveland Clinic about fighter safety. A couple days ago, Bob reached out to a source of mine who is an Anti-Doping expert and well-respected in the community. Bob claimed he wanted clarity on my article for a speech he was giving at Harvard. What he was really was asking this guy to shoot down the idea that we need blood testing in boxing. The expert did not comply because Bob's argument is dead wrong.

                    Now we see the result of Bob's fact finding mission. He'll blame Martinez and say he never really wanted the fight but more and more, Bob's fighters stand alone in the drug war in boxing.

                    Lou was on our radio show last Thursday. He said it would not be a sticking point for him. Sounds like there is a disagreement in that camp. Sergio is dead set on it. I would be, too.

That is why I find Ward excuse of it being too expensive being laughable. The same agency that Martinez is asking for(VADA) is the same agency that will handle the testing for Alvarez-Mosley and Berto-Ortiz II testing. Again cheaper, but from what I know just as good if not better than the one Floyd uses in USADA/WADA. Not sure how true it is but I have read that VADA test for things that USADA/WADA doesn't and it's more thorough than USADA/WADA is.

                      Also boxing people run VADA. Like Dr Margarette Goodman. Who use to work for the NSAC.
                      I remember MARGARET Goodman being visible at almost every major fight on TV So USADA and WADA will be going out of business and VADA will be taking over.... Great news, imagine being able to ferret that out.
