Not if they fight in Texas. Matter of fact he hasn't fought in Nevada since being caught there

In his next 5 fights after being suspended. 3 of them have been in Texas, 1 in Mexico, and 1 in California. So he hasn't done "the same testing" again since being caught.

Most people are not against better testing. Their argument is, that the fight was already difficult to make. Chavez didn't want it. Martinez chased and begged for this fight. Finally when the WBC seems to put pressure on Chavez to make the fight. Martinez asked for better testing not only giving Chavez a way out by not agreeing. But, a way out with the title.

yeah i know that...i'm just testing that other poster's logic. better testing should be for every fighter not just for the ones who got caught before.

          • Not at all.

But you're going off the logic that Martinez asked Macklin for drug testing and Macklin declined. That didn't happen did it?

I agree with that. Which is why I found it hilarious when Dibella(Martinez) were asked if the Martinez-Macklin fight would have better testing. The answer was no because they didn't feel a "need to". WTF is that?

And yeah, I'd rather watch Shrek on HBO than a doped fight. It is what it is.
So every fight with no OSDT involving one fighter who tested positive before is a doped fight?

Have you watched any of Mosley's fights after he admitted to juicing for the Oscar rematch? Have you watched any of Toney's fights after he tested positive for the Ruiz fight? Have you watched any of Roy Jones fights after he tested positive for the Richard Hall fight? If so, you're a hypocrite of the highest order.

That is so very true. Just like in the first negotiations with Pac and Mayweather.

The difference there is that Mayweather wasn't begging for the fight, he wasn't chasing that fight ala Martinez. Also Floyd not just asked Pac but every fighter that he negotiated with after. Martinez is on that "didn't feel the need to" campaign. But, then again Chavez has failed it before and has yet to fight in the state in which he failed it in. While Pacquiao never did anything before. Actually the 2 situations are not similar at all.
