How can people say Mayweather is boring??

Sugar Shane hadn't fought in a year and a half and that KO victory turns outmeant nothing because Margacheato was caught minutes before entering the ring. Margarito hasn't done anything since then so that win wasn't that great.
And Marquez? Your going to give Floyd props for beating a guy that was coming up two weight classes to fight him? Not only that but Floyd had to cheat on the scales just to make sure he had an advantage.
Like I said , no real threats in almost five years...Comment

I don't think Mayweather is boring at all. Fighters like Older Mosley, Wladimir Klistscko, Older Bernard Hopkins those are boring IMO.Comment

I don't find him boring, but I can understand why some may find it hard to re-watch some of his fights.I think a lot of people simply want him to just finish the job more than doing enough just to win. Boxing purists and his fans love watching his skills for 12 rounds, and that's fine. But even me being a fan for over 20 years and admiring both boxers and brawlers, I'd be lying to you if I said I never walked out of a Mayweather fight by the 9th round. At least later in his career, Floyd's just done enough to get the win more that closing the show. If Floyd took the initiative and just went for the KO later in the fight when the chances have presented themselves, I don't think he'd have as much backlash minus his outside the ring mistakes.
Definitely the bold from what I've gathered as well. Floyd's talking gets a lot of people to watch him, but they can leave disappointed at times because the talk may not have matched the performance. There's no doubt that even casuals can see how great his skills are. However, during fights when it's clear that he's in a different class than his opponent and he still chooses to cruise towards a win by seemingly not trying to take him out, that can rub people the wrong way.
A quick fantasy comparison I can think of that might reflect how some boxing/casual fans may feel is.. IF Kevin Durant talked shi.t and called everyone out and said that he was the best 1v1 player in the country and he'd be traveling the country to prove it. He made statements of how he'd break everyone's ankles and will posterize anyone who steps onto the court. Come game time, all sorts of people show up(fat, built, young, short, tall, athletic). As expected, KD beats all of them, but doesn't break any ankles, doesn't dunk on anyone, and doesn't even try to shoot the lights out from the deep. Instead, he just posts up, backs them up, then lays it up. Over and over again. Did he prove that he was unbeatable? Yes. Was it as spectacular as he promised? Probably not.
TL;DR If you promise greatness and excitement, fans will expect it.Comment

I admire and respect his skills. They are like no other. That said: He is one of the most boring fighters ever. The only thing that makes him exciting is the fact that he talks *****. Whitaker, Leonard, guys who had mad skills and speed just like Mayweather were tons more exciting not because they would "run to the middle of the ring and swing til someone dropped" but because they opened up and once they hurt their opponent they went for the kill. They unloaded hell on them all the while they maintained their form, and that was exciting. Mayweather is perfectly content just pop shotting all night and that IMO is very boring. If he would unleash his skills to their top potential and at least try to hurt his opponents then that would be nice to watch, but he doesn't. He never beat anyone the way he beat Gatti after that fight. He is boring and if you admire his skills, that's fine, and if you find him exciting, then that is also fine, although it is very very difficult to understand for most boxing fans :lol:Comment
