People will find the formula to beat you, Rios doesn't switch it up - you know what to expect.

IF ... but IF the more skilled fighter decided to move and be technical ... you got BIGGER problems.
if you're good , it don't mean crap if you're one dimensional or not.

having a formula to beat someone , don't mean you can beat them.

how many fighters have fought the right gameplan and lost?

people make it seem like one dimensional automatically means you're bad.

    nope.

you know who are bad? guys who have to change up their styles a lot.

the guys who are good , do what they do good and few people can beat them.

he probably can. at least one shot at a time.

but rios has the power to hurt him over a long period of time.

jmm is up there in age.

in his early 30's? late 20's?

      sure he'll probably outpoint rios.

      but at his age now?

a younger , bigger , stronger guy in your face 3 minutes every round......

bad news for an aging fighter.

It does mean something and in the grand scheme of things it is important.

I never said being one dimensional makes you bad, Brandon is a very good fighter. But being one dimensional does put you at a disadvantage against COMPLETE fighters, those who develop more than one area of their game.

It'll be a great scrap with JMM beating the living daylights out of Rios. This should actually be an out of your seat thriller from beginning to end but I can see Rios spurting blood all over the ring by round 5. JMM by KO or stoppage in rd 10...should be earlier but Rios will keep fighting through it and the ref will let him go for a while. By the time it's over, Rios will be seriously hurt and need stitches.

If he loses to Rios he can kiss the Pac fight goodbye.

i think arum is setting up this fight to have the winner face pac next. that could be the requirement for jmm to get another fight with pac...he needs to beat rios. same thing with rios...his camp been talking about wanting to fight pac but with his current standing he can't claim to deserve that fight. if he beats jmm, it makes the fight with pac interesting.

yeah yeah yeah been watching boxing far too long to see one dimensional fighters dominate the sport. yeah sometimes someone figures them out but it still takes another great to do it.

you do what you're good at.

the biggest mistakes most fighters make is when they get away with what they do best.

having more than one style is good but not necessarily needed to succeed.

Should be a real interesting fight at this stage in JMMs career.

an old great vs a very hungry, aggressive lion...

JMM isnt really comfortable with swarmers... and rios is still quite untested with the elite level...

looks to be a very promising fight...

Awesome fight, anything can happen but I got JMM. Juan will be able to out box a one-dimensional Rios however, Marquez will have to avoid any inside fighting cause Rios will hurt him. JMM has the physical tools and the brains to beat this kid up. Can't wait for this one.
