Its funny this popped up cause we were just talking about it. As for the guy saying at 160 Lara would be hurt, stop it. I didn't see Williams, who dropped Martinez, hurting Lara the night they fought. I know the fight was at 154 but on fight night the weight/size difference was huge and he's (Williams) bigger than Martinez.

That was me. Against any other 160lbs Lara would do fine, but Martinez could hurt anyone from 154 to 168 with the right shot.

And Williams didn't really knockdown Martinez, not from the force of his punches anyways.

The only people that won't fight him are the big names because he's a complete PPV failure and a ratings disaster. Why should they give Sergio a payday when Floyd/Pac/JR are the ones providing 100% of the PPV, gate, and buzz?

I like the fight, but it doesn't matter what I think. It matters what the casuals think and all they like is action packed slug fests. And it also matters what HBO thinks, an they also prefer action packed slug fests whenever possible.

Martinez doesn't really have time to mess around with these guys. lets say he beats all those guys, he'll get no credit for it.

Martinez barely gets credit for destroying Williams who people seem to forget was the avoided by people in 3 weight classes.

I know Chavez is worse than all the guys I mentioned but in the spanish speaking boxing media that's a huge fight. that's what they're asking is when will CHavez fight Martinez. it's a much bigger fight in the spanish speaking world.

but honestly it has to be Mayweather for Martinez at 154. let Martinez fight Mayweather and probably lose but that's a better fight then any those other bs fighters being talked about
