16 man single elimination tournament at 160

I think that the Middleweight division underrated. They just need to get some of these guys on American television.

I included a couple matches that have been announced/speculated and then added my own match ups. who takes it?

I have Wright beating Quilin and Geale to make it to the Semis.

I have Martinez beating Zbik and Lee to make it to the semis.

I have Chavez Jr beating Murray and Macklin to make it to the semis.

I have Williams beating Pirog (due to inactivity) and N'dam (never heard of).

Martinez vs Wright = Wright. If he makes it this far, that means he's back to his old self. I look for Wright to provide sound pressure in victory.

Chavez Jr vs Williams = I think Chavez Jr squeaks this one out due to out working Paul.

I'm actually going for the underdog. I think Wright pulls it out.

If running a 6 man tournament was a nightmare, I can't imagine this one lasting more than a round. But Martinez has a good chance to walk away from the rest of the list. Some are B fighters, others are old and retired and other paper champs.
Would love for Martinez to man'up and fight at 168 where He would have real competition.

Winky is so far past it, I'm surprised you put him in there.

        Martinez over Lee
        Sturm over Zbik

        Golovkin over Geale
        Quillin over Wright

        Chavez over Murray
        Macklin over Proksa

        N'Jikam over Bursak
        Williams over Pirog

        Next round:

        Martinez over Sturm
        Quillin over Golovkin

        Chavez over Macklin
        Williams over N'Jikam

        Semi's:
        Martinez over Quillin

        Williams over Chavez

        Finals:

        Martinez over Williams

You should do the seeding by where they rank. For example, I think Andy Lee could beat N'Jikam but Andy Lee has the lowest possible seed with Sergio being the highest seed.

It looks like we have the same tourny winners except for Wright.

Wright has only convincingly lost to Williams. He outlanded Hopkins and I thought he won the fight.

His inactivity is his biggest flaw; not actually not being able to fight anymore. He's not in the same boat as Jones and Taylor.

The way I'm seeing this tourny is if wright beats Quilin, which I think is possible, I have him beating Geale. I think Geale can beat Golovkin. I wasn't impressed with Golovkin at all.

Anyway, that gives Wright two bouts to get back to his old self. The rest is history.

I'm the biggest Wright fan but he's past it. I thought he beat Vargas and Taylor, and I thought the Hopkins fight could have gone either way. But, he came back after a two year layoff against Paul Williams and he loked awful. He was past it. Now, 3 years off from the sport, to come back and fight Peter Quillin, who looks to be pretty good, I don't think he beats him at all. Quillin's got quick hands and power, and a decent defense. Winky AT THIS STAGE, wouldn't beat him. Winky's prime was like 1996-2004/2005. From 2006-2007, he was past his prime still good. When he came back in 2009, he was past it completely.

We'll find out May 26th what happens. While I'd like Quillin to win because he's up and coming with a ton of potential, I would not mind to see my boy Winky pull off the upset. The only downside would be that Peter Quillin would be DONE if that happened.

The way that tournament is set up. I might have Martinez-Chavez in the finals. However, I do believe that Martinez will Golovkin would be the biggest threat to Martinez.

He should have seeded them by their rankings. I doubt Andy Lee would have to fight the #1 seed of them all in the first round. The seeding just seems off to me.

So you think Winky is the best middleweight? or do you think by the way it was structutred, he had a decent shot

I picked fights that were either signed or being talked about. The Lee/Martinez fight will be next for Sergio IMO.

As far as everything else i just plugged them in
