Macklin was en route to possibly beating Martinez in a decision.

After Macklin knocked Martinez down, things went down hill from there.

Also, it really doesn't matter to me if Martinez fights Chavez or Pirog next. But I am kind of tired of hearing about Pirog who's sole claim to fame is a victory over a prospect in Jacobs. Get over it already. Pirog should be trying to make a name for himself in other areas if he can't get Martinez in the ring and stop living off the Jacobs win.

That said, my only complaint is the rankings at 154. I feel that Kirkland should be much much higher than #7. Sure he had a hickup against Ishida, but give the man a break. He's easily a Top 3 Junior Middleweight. His resume is better than Dzindruzic, Molina's and Canelo's. Once he beats Molina he deserve's to get some recognition and major title shots.
Kirkland can handle all that himself this weekend.

            Me too.

@27: If Molina were a bigger puncher, I'd pick the upset. He's not, though he's got good whiskers. I think Kirkland's all out attack, and speed, will probably be too much but we'll see.

R u guys serious! Martinez simply is a athletic freak, while he is toying with u for 6rds, he can step up the intensity from 6th rd and on! That's how sick his cardio is! He's too much of an athlete, he will wear u down just on his genes alone! And kirkland is a beast! His chin is suspecr but he can and will beat Molina within 6rds! This isn't washed up Kermit the Frog! This guys Kirk will eat ur heart and spit it out! Molina is good boxer puncher but he better worked on his power and defense! Cuz kirk is not joke!
