    Important Facts about Sergio Martinez

He's fought 53 fights and only 6 of them have been at middleweight. That's correct, Martinez has fought 47 fights at welterweight and junior middleweight and he's 37 years old. So to all the people who say that Martinez is picking on the small guys and should move up, please STFU!

Bhop started at 175 and went down in weight to 160 fighting guys like Tito, DLH and a bunch of no-hopers like Morade Hakar. Bhop is a legit 6' 1" also. So once again quit your crying!

So he bloodied Pavlik, a huge middleweight, one more round and Pavlik would've been out cold. He delivered the knockout of the year against Paul Williams. So before you start discrediting PWill and Kelly just remember what they had done prior to facing Martinez and that they were both the favourites to win against Sergio. He then obliterated Dzinzurik, a fighter that most of the media believed could've beaten Martinez and had never been down in his career. Then he knocked out another big unbeaten middleweight with one shot and last night he seemed bored against Macklin, got pissed off that he slipped, which resulted in a KD and then destroyed Macklin.

So how is he overrated when Chavez's best win is against a guy that Pavlik made look like an amateur.

Now as far as the p4p list:

Pacman's last 4 fights: a loss against JMM at a CATCHWEIGHT; a decision win against a completely shot Mosley; a decision win against Margarito at a CATCHWEIGHT; a decision win over Clottey

Mayweather's last 4 fights - a ko of Victor Ortiz; a decision win against Mosley; a decision win against Marquez at a CATCHWEIGHT and a split decision win against DLH

I am not even go into details about Nonito

So how does Sergio at 37 compare to the top p4p fighters, pretty good I'd say.

PS: What's up with Marquez fighting the best fighters in the world at catchweight?

Great points. Numbers a lot of people here would like to ignore.

and this also has to be said, JMM deserves to be up there just as much as sergio does. I have no problem ranking him higher than Sergio. The reason why he takes those catchweight fights is because his heart and balls weigh in at Heavyweight.

Martinez doesn't have a single HOFer on his resume.

Pac fought 2 back to back in less than 7 months last year.

And I like how you conviently left out when he got KTFO by Margarito, a guy who Pac fought and literally broke his ****in face in half

I agree JMM has to be there and I have no issue with him being higher on the list than Sergio.

Speaking of JMM, remember his victory over Kats when he was knocked down and came back to obliterate Michael. Well how is that fight any different than what Sergio did against Macklin. But I get it it's cool to hate on Sergio.

JMM is my favourite though and the only loss I think he took is against FMJ

So you can put these 4 in any order Pacman, Marquez, Floyd and Martinez and I don't care but to hate on Sergio for being the most exciting fighter in boxing for the past 2 years is just pure ******ation.
