It was a very close fight, both had good cases for the win. Williams doesn't get enough credit IMO.

he gets slightly more credit than Macklin...

the "at least he didn't get knocked out" credit.... well until the second fight where Martinez ended his career

Williams was the most overrated "internet sensation" that Ive ever seen in boxing.

It was a great win. I thought he won it but that one scorecard had people going all crazy.

At the time when the fight happened, people were calling it close and that it could have gone either way, but were angry at the scorecard. But now it's that Williams lost.

Close fights are called robberies, and actual robberies are forgotten.

I wouldn't have called it a robbery just by looking at the fight. I think Martinez was a close but clear winner, 8 rounds to 4.

Then I saw the actual judges scorecards and realised, it was a robbery. Not just the 119-110 card.

In retrospect we see any average C+ fighter beats the hell out of Sergio easily.

Considering how Martinez looks now it was a great win I still think Margarito is his signature win though wasn't Margarito the most feared WW in boxing at the time when P-Will beat him
