When HBO changed their top boxing executive, we were told that there would be less PPV's and more top rate, non pay fights.
So much for promises. This is the worst example of robbing boxing fans in recent memory.
It's bad enough that we are asked to pay to witness Mayweather dismantle Cotto and then Pac destroy Bradley.
Rios/ Gamboa was going to be a regular broadcast.
Rios/Abril is not a life altering occasion for any fisticuffs enthusiast.
Marquez fighting a belt holder that most have not seen might still be a decent contest.
Just do not expect us to lay out 50 bucks for the 'privilege'.
I imagine that this is HBO's response to the close Pac victory over Juan.
They will now have it both ways.

The Quality of these fights only shows the futility of Gamboa's balk. They'll replace him with a nobody, and people will forget Gamboa. He has put himself in competition with lesser fighters. Now he will have to accept less money or hard fights to regain his lost prestige. In the end he will now have to meet Rios anyway or forever have his fans hang thier heads when the name Rios is mentioned.

Many of you on this site do not understand the sport of boxing at all not to mention all you fools on this tread. Only a true boxing enthusiast of the sport would appreciate boxing cards like this. Did you all forget that this sport is a global one. Where there are very good fighters all over the world? No you wouldn't? Fighters like Rios and Marquez are real FIGHTERS they fight other fighters from around the globe. Just because you don't know them here in the US and are not Television Stars does not mean they are not good Fighters or "NOBODIES" like you people like to call them. You are the "nobodies" most of these fighters that are fighting in other countries are hungry and will give a much better spectacle then all these MAIN MONEY Corrupted fights. This is how true fighters develop and test their strength. I mean the World Rankings are not there for show. These people have shown that they deserve to be where they are. People like you on this tread are stuck on main event fights. This is not WWE where everyone is a star and they all fight each other. This is a Real Sport that deserves the respect from everyone around the world not just the US

I like watching Rios and Marquez fight but im not paying 45 dollars to see them fight those guys. Hopefully someone will hook me up with a stream or ill just have to miss that card.
