Why was JMM fighting Nobodies??? And it's HBO PPV?

Marquez sold.... around 300-350K in the Diaz II fight. Granted it was a rematch to a fight of the year.

I expect this one to do +100K

But the undercard was stacked though.

Pirog vs Jacobs, two undefeated guys.

Guerrero vs Casamayor.

Jorge Linares vs Rocky Juarez.

6 known names, with 2 up and coming undefeated fighters.

What does this card have? Rios vs Abril, never heard of Abril until the brawl.

This ain't a GBP card. GBP stacks their cards with good fights all around, and good names.

Not going to spend my money JUST to watch Juan Manuel Marquez and JUST Brandon Rios. Neither of their opponents are remotely close to being PPV garnering opponents, and the thought of spending near $50 just to see those two doesn't sit well with me.

44.95! What the hell! Not paying much for this crap. Maybe, jus maybe if it was 24.95 then I wuld think about it. But 44.95! This shuld be on HBO. Marquez fightin tune up fights, jus shows why pacquiao has the better career, no tune ups. Champions, former champions, and contenders.

Im not feeling this should be PPV. Maybe HBO boxing after dark. Now if they had named fighters it would be worth PPV. Maybe something like Rios- Miaidona and Marquez- Morales. Either way im stilling going to watch it somewhere

Normally a promoter would put two world class fighters in co-main events on ppv to set up a big fight between them later in the year. But this isn't the case at all.
