HBO money, who knows what he'll get. But it won't be his only stream of income.
he is not "hugely" popular in britain, and any decent boxer has commentated for sky even british level ones, the only really popular boxers are froch khan and burns.

Well, he better pull out, have rumors about joining Mayweather promotions, and go into hiding. Because that's acceptable when you are making huge paydays now.

I literally have No idea, how these guys can get paid that much, the ticket revenue probably won't make more than a million and the sponsership will probably only make another million at most. hope HBO isn't paying out the ass for this fight.

Macklin isn't hugely popular over here. He's embracing his Irish roots more now that he's moved to America though.

This is very believable. Barker is a solid name in the large boxing market of the UK, he will bring in money on that part of the world as well.

Maybe hugely wasn't the word, but he's definitely popular in the Sky Sports office and I'm sure his purse is being supplemented substantially by UK TV fees.

not really, the fight is on in the early morning like 4-5 am. i doubt they would have paid him anything substantial as i dont thing anyone will stay up to watch it apart from his die hard fans.

I have a little experience in this matter, with regards to how broadcasts and the such work. I do know that they're not sending over Jim Watt and a team to produce the event because it's no big deal.

It's not uncommon for international television stations to pay well over $1 million for the rights to a fight in a certain country, and I'm sure they are paying something in that ballpark for this fight.

But, if you have some experience in this field that you'd like to share, please do so.

If the article is saying all that is from HBO then I call BS. What are they paying Sergio then? 2+ Mil?

I just asked Dan Rafael if he could confirm it. He told me, "No way is he making that much. No way. Not close I dont think."
