No, The Ring didn't have titles from 1989-2000. In 2001 they brought back the titles because of how unstatisfied they were with the sanctioning bodies title policies. And, in 01 they gave Roy The Ring title.

So the Ring title went from Roy-Tarver-Johnson-Tarver-Hopkins-Calzaghe-Vacant-Pascal-Hopkins.

The lineal title went from Dariusz-Gonzalez-Erdei
I know they didn't bring it back until this past decade, but they still had Rankings correct?

They had Ring rankings all through out that time period. But, no Ring champs. Once they brought back the Ring title they gave it to Roy instead of Dariusz.

top 3 lightheavyweights of all time. He had more title defences than any other against very good competition. Archie Moore, Tunney and Michael Spinks are up there too.
Im not a big Bob Foster fan, he is overrated.

49-0 is not a record for all time undefeated.just the heavyweight record............why do people keep saying that?

Chavez sr was 87-0 before he drew with sweet pea.

Sugar ray went on a 91 fight win streak after losing to lamotta.

                    main two examples.

Ok I see what he was saying, I didn't understand. Also, Did Marciano hold the record first & Chavez & SRR never retired with a 49-0 record.

The point i said was that DM had a chance to match the record by Marciano and possibly retiring undefeated at 49-0 or 50-0

Chavez & SRR didn't retire undefeated
