      Not fair to compare Macklin and Chavez. Chavez is a draw and makes good money no matter who he fights. I dont think Chavez is scared of Sergio I just think Top Rank is makimg a wise business decision to avoid martinez. Im not saying its good for boxing but its business.

        Wait til he signs to fight JCC JR. I guarantee you you won't hear a peep out of them.

            Macklin is going to drag martinez into a long hard 12 round war a confident macklin is a tough very good fighter it's when he struggles to get up for fights he looks like dog ****

                  So what your saying is, so long as you have a fan base, it's ok if you buy a belt and hold it hostage. Maybe in the WWE, but this is a sport. You can't be a performer and a champ.

                    Macklin is a helluva lot tougher fight at 160 than Chavez. As was Pavlik. Chavez isn't in the same galaxy as Martinez in the ring. At least Macklin is a real middleweight, unlike Chavez's last victim.

                    Hell, Chavez won't even fight Andy Lee. that tells you all you need to know.
