What is up with the fight Rios vs Abril?

I take it you haven't even heard or seen footage of Abril right & are making assumptions? Because anybody whose seen him knows his style potentially represents big problems for bum bum.
For what it's worth Richie got robbed vs Lundy (who you was all raving about not so long back) I also felt the Prescott fight could of gone either way.

Maybe you are still living in cloud cuckoo land & think Rios is this unbeatable monster.

Abril is without a doubt better than anybody Rios has ever fought. He's also very big at the weight. This Cubans a good kid, I assure you.

He's quick, uses his height well, he's got skills & his chin seems very sturdy. Switch hitter. Don't worry unlike Murray & co I assure you Abrils not going to be a static target for Rios.

Very likely Abril outboxes Rios and gets robbed. I look forward to hearing of how weight drained Bum bum was.
If Rios beats Abril fairly & convincingly I will give him props.

Caught him once live in person, a Nate Campbell undercard in Tampa 5 years ago, and he blew this guy Derrick Samuels away in a round... Seen him a little after and he definitely has something to work with...

It's not that I am opposed to this matchup completely but seems a letdown from Gamboa... I like Rios to wear Abril down after a pretty entertaining start to the fight

I think people are more upset over the fact the Gamboa fight fell through. Abril is unknown and obviously doesn't measure up to Gamboa, so of course people will be quick to write him off.

If I aint mistaken,Rios said during a recent interview he was at Miami for the Gamboa bout press conference and a guy appeared from the crowd calling bam bam out,Rios said he hasnt seen that guy in his life in fact he thought he was some crazy fan challenging him out,He asked "Who the **** are you?" "Get the **** outta here" ,this dude turned out to be April ,lol.

Richie Abril got his jaw broken against Prescott in the 4th round via a headbutt, he continued against the hard hitting Columbian and in my eyes & many others got robbed of a decision.

This kids tough, skillful and whilst some haven't heard of him those that have seen him fight know this kid will give Rios all he can handle.

I'm confident Richie will school him but I doubt he'll be getting any decision.

Sure I'd rather see Gamboa in there, any day, but this is actually a good fight. A great blend of styles.

If Gamboas fight doesn't happen, I hope Abril and Rios get to meet, after the fight rios will know for sure who Abril is, not saying Abril will win.
