I agree with Mayweather. If Pacquiao doesn't make all that much why let Bob take the rest. Gerald McClellan never heard people mention him in this forum. Great fighter took all the big fights out there. Gave people what they wanted. Then that one bad fight caused him to spent eleven days in a coma and after which, he was found to have suffered extensive brain damage. He lost his eyesight, the ability to walk unassisted and became 80 percent deaf. MAYWEATHER GET THE MONEY YOU WANT. CAUSE WHEN YOUR DONE, THESE PEOPLE WON'T GIVE A **** ASS ABOUT YOU.

Pacquiao making these offers and Arum just slaps him down. Pacquiao has no say in negotiations.

When he used the self-preservation argument, i figure it was relating to his financial future and financial security. I believe it has nothing to do with his health. Even that, i still believe he should let someone else do his talking as the dude does seem to be incoherent from time to time.

They had a 50/50 deal in 2009 and what happened. They pulled out of that deal.

Floyd is way smarter than people give him credit for. That said i understand that his career has become more of that of a WWE wrestler. He's the Ric Flair of today. Yeah there definitely is a large group of serious boxing fans that enjoy watching him fight based on his skills,(myself being one of them) but casual fans tune in to see him lose at this point, and he made it that way. He had to! Prior to his fights with Gatti or Oscar who was tuning in to his fights? Those fights helped make Floyd period, that combined with his bad guy persona he molded on HBO's 24/7.

Floyd is a tremendous talent but the fact is he has more to lose than Pac does.
All this BS that everyone talks about who deserves what as if they're part of the negotiations is silly, any mention of these two and a thread lasts for days and its because of one reason and one reason only, and that reason is that Floyd still has that 0 in the loss column.

The truth of the matter is if Floyd loses that 0 the casual fans' interest in FLoyd's career drops dramatically. Floyd knows that as well, and that's why he wants more. All this talk about past PPV sales is almost a secondary when comes down to it.

For those that say the same would happen to Pacquiao's career if he lost are I think missing the point entirely. Pac build his reputation on having an exciting offensive style that lead to many memorable wars. Like it or not everyone tunes in to see the possibility of a full blown war breaking out. Pac always provided that.

If Floyd loses his career is essentially over, at least in terms of being a huge PPV attraction. That aura of invincibility is gone, and casual fans aren't tuning in to see a defense first style of fighter. Floyd knows this and that is why he is cashing in on every fight he can, until he gets the higher portion of the purse, that and he hates Bob Arum.HAHA

It WAS 50/50 and Pac went and fought paid to lose Clottey , Pac used the test excuse then , now its the 50/50 excuse after he said he would take less .

I'm sorry, when did the actual negotiations take place? Was it before or after Bob told Floyd's representatives that he had no desire to "negotiate" the fight at this particular time?

Not sure if you read the article, but that deal isn't on the table and never will be.

It's not about balls but brains.

Why would anyone leave his earnings in the hands of someone else especially in a corrupt sport like boxing?

Why would Mayweather even give Pacquiao a chance to earn so much money when everyone knows boxing's earnings are based on historical facts like how you have sold your ppv and revenues of live fights?
