Comments Thread For: Team Pirog Not Happy With N'Jikam-Bursak WBO Clash

A few days ago it was reported that 27-year-old Ukrainian boxer Max Bursak would face 28-year-old Frenchman Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam for the interim world title of the World Boxing Organization. The interim title is usually at stake when the current world champion, for objective reasons (injury), is not capable of staging a mandatory title defense. The full champion is 31-year-old Russian boxer Dmitry Pirog. After suffering a minor injury, Pirog announced his ring return for May 1 - and the mandatory defense is not due until June 25.

Lol, this guy has to be one of the most mismanaged boxers around today. And his team always blames everyone else for their incompetence. It can't always be everyone else.

What's the big deal? Pirog can fight another soft touch, and then fight the winner of Bursak/N'dam

How is it their fault that two other fighters have agreed to fight for the interim belt instead of fighting him?

It's their fault for expecting fighters to wait for him to heal so that they can contact him for a fight. He pulled outta the n'jikam fight. Not the other way around. No1 has to wait for him to get his **** together. Dudes full of excuses.

So what was he supposed to do?

Oh wait I already know your answer....

                "just make something happen"

Or some other similarly generic and meaningless phrase.

That's their job. They aren't supposed to sit back n expect ppl to wait on them. That's simply ******. Secure a fight for when he'll be ready to fight. I mean its not rocket science. Ur fighter pulls outta a fight, try ur best to make sure he has a fight lined up for when he's able to fight. I guess that's meaningless rite? So its everyone else's fault Pirog is wasting his career. Not his or his team rite? Been that way since Jacobs.

Who cares what Pirog thinks? he is just an unproven prospect with a meaningless paper title and now another meaningless paper title has been created while he stalls and probably fights another bum.
