He was never known for his defense. The troubling thing is he has lost all of his hand speed and he's pushing his punches, his offense may be even more of a wreck than his defense.
Outside of Broner and maybe uchiyama, he will have no problem
130 is dead
i was thinking about this. he's enough of a draw to be able to make decent money fighting guys who are only a few baby steps away from no hopers at 130. it's not a thick division.
if he wants big money fights they are against broner (never gonna happen, GBP, bad style, low reward, etc,) or guys at 135, where he will get absolutely starched.
i think he'll stay at 130 if he wants to keep boxing and fight some guys who cant hurt him for at least a year. if he wants the big money fights he's not going to have that much more of a career. these bigger guys will beat the hell out of him
I think its gonna take a lot of work for juanma to come back strong....hes the most durable punching bag in boxing but hell always be a tough customer for anybody
Where's the Juanma that fought De Leon. I mean The guy fought smart in that fight his defense was tight his punches were short and powerful. The guy just needs to go back to the basics. Maybe he should think about getting himself a better trainer like the guy that trains Cotto right now. He seemed to help Cotto with his mistakes maybe he can help Juanma with his mistakes.
