How about the Kevin Johnson fight??? I suppose Vitali had a bout of the ****s before the fight which was why he looked poor. Vitali does great when you come straight at him but he has always struggled with movement, but I suppose he has no weakness at all does he??? Vitali has never been very quick so he will always struggle against a good mover.

Vitali backs straight up with his hand down and pulls his chin straight back it’s a terrible idea against Tyson. Size has nothing to do with it. You do not pull back against hooks.

The way you beat Tyson is to push him back with combinations and then hold him and push him back not allowing him to get punching room then get off with a combination. Vitali doesn’t do this he fights backing up.
In fact from what I have watched Vitali is not a come forward fighter at all he always looks awkward on the front foot he is much more comfortable backing up which is the wrong style to fight Mike with. You don’t back up against Tyson and give him time to get into his rhythm and punching distance, unless you’re a very quick mover on your feet like an Ali or a Holmes.

Now Wlad's style of jabbing then clinching up on the inside will work much better against Tyson if Wlad had a good chin he might actually do pretty well against Mike.

At least that's how I see it, and despite what Tunney would think I like Wlad these days I just find him a bit dull.
Lol at you thinking Vitali struggled when winning 95% of the rounds between those 3 fights. I hope you realize what you are saying. It's funny how dominant they are that you people grasp at anything like this. I enjoy reading it.

Yea, just like the last one you posted that was the exact same thing. I'm not going to change my stance on the matter. It was unlucky, it's not as if Lennox threw the punch trying to cut Vitali. Not only that, their heads came together right after and it's not 100% clear if the punch or the head clash caused the punch.

That's not a riddle. It's straight forward and plain.
Vitali had about 5 cuts. Vitali landed more punches and the only damage he did was a 1 cm scratch on Lewis's nose while half of Vitali's face was torn apart.

              • Tough fight for Mike. Tyson indeed was a beast in his prime, but we also can't ignore the physical advantages he'd have overwhelmingly against Tyson. Being Vitali actually utilizes his size to his advantage, he could give Mike a lot of problems. Of course, if Vitali is hit clean it could be lights out, but also remember Mike is punching upward which won't have the same effect as hitting a guy your size or just a tad bit taller (i.e. Douglas).

Vital is punching downwards which is hard, two way street.

Vitali's hands low style might not be a good idea in this match-up either.

It would be difficult for Mike as when he was being clinched in previous fights, except for inside uppercuts he didn't really have an answer, and he only uppercutted after 5 seconds or so of clinching. If Vitali can slow the fight down to a snails pace and clinch Tyson effectively he has a chance but, against a prime Tyson that's easier said than done.

                  • Tyson gives away height and reach but prime Tyson was physically stronger and would back Vitali on the ropes and get inside where his reach disadvantage turns into an advantage. People will obviously look at what Lewis did and say Vitali would do the same but prime Tyson was a whole different fighter, his foot speed and head movement would be a nightmare for Vitali.

The cut above the eye was the reason the fight was stopped.
Their heads had come together several times and Lennox was
pawing with his gloves and elbows constantly as well.
