I mean to be fair, he might be on to something because I can't remember the last time i Seen Joshua Clottey with a serious Cut or Major Swelling lol...I'm just saying! But Clottey also have Good Defense

But Oscar was able to hold up well also during his career, he had some swelling and cuts but nothing MAJOR and no nasty scar tissue after his career

I think fighter STYLES have more to do with Damage then it does "RACE" for example look at Paulie Malignaggi...he is holding up well in the sport of boxing and doesn't have a ton of cuts and scare tissue...because he has a SLICK STYLE!

Look at the Judah's and Alexander's of the world, they've been cut several times. Andre Ward also suffered a cut in sparring. Tavoris Cloud was cut up nicely for Campillo wasn't he? Or was it bruises? I forgot already. But African Americans do get cut. Africans however, like Agbeko and Clottey, those guys have real tough skin.

I keep repeating this because I don't want this to branch into people responding to strawman arguments. There is no implication that black fighters do not get cut. The point is that higher concentration of melanin makes your skin stronger and more resistant to damage. The first source provided gives great insight into the scientific studies.
