it was a good one, despite the catchweight and move up in weight for pavlik he WAS at the time the lineal middleweight champion and beat the same man twice that hopkins lost to and was undefeated? how is that an overrated loss?

How was that overrated??? Hopkins was seen as past his prime and Pavlik was seen as one of the top guys around where they fought. I know the fight was at 170, but Kelly was never too small to fight around SMW.

10 year reign at MW, winning 4 titles. And then went up to 175 and won the WBC title.

Not bad for an overrated guy....and I don't even like Bernard. He arguably beat Calzaghe as well

Wtf is wrong with people on this site

Nobody said anything that Hopkins is more overrated then Pacquiao.

Why is every thread here always going into the direction of Pacquiao? Despite the Hopkins fanboyism on this site, there are people and boxing pundits out there who honestly believe Trinidad's best is at WeltherWeight and Hopkins beat up a blown up 147 pound fighter. HBO, Sky Sports, Showtime, boxing channels across the world mentioned at one time or another Hopkins was just a very big MW beating up on blown up WW'S in Trinidad and De La Hoya.

This doesn't take anything away from Hopkins ATG status. But the victories over Trinidad and De la Hoya WERE CLEARLY over blown.

Also no **** Pac's win over de la hoya was also overblown
