Fighters that deserve a biopic?

What not white fighters do you want to see a biopic about? Besides those you already mentioned. Or, which stories do you think would have been made if there weren't a race factor holding some back?Comment

Barney Ross
From his fathers murder as a child, to his affiliation with Al Capone, to his being world champion in 3 different weight classes at a time when there were only 10 divisions and 1 title, to Jim beating some of histories best fighters, to him losing to Armstrong, retiring and joining the marines and voluntering for combat, to him being a hero at the battle of Gaudal canal and receiving the medal of honor after being wounded, to his addiction to morphine because of those injuries and overcoming that addiction. This guys life WAS a movie. For any who haven't read it, get the book "Barney Ross" by Douglas Century...it won't disappoint.Comment

Fighters that take boxing seriously deserve biopics; each fighter has their individual circumstances that would make for a great biopic. There are dozens of fighters that I could name from Michael Nunn (a rise and fall biopic) to Roy Jones (strict upbringing, father-son dynamic, etc.). We don't know all the interesting ***** that goes on behind the scenes (Micky Ward's family dynamic, drug issues, etc.)
A good script, cast, and marketing strategy takes care of the rest.Comment
